Where XRPUSD stands midweek

XRPUSD closed Wednesday at 1.3252. That is 0.0324 above Monday's 1.2928 open, a gain of 2.5% on the week so far. The high is 1.3407, printed Wednesday. The low is 1.2692, printed Monday during the opening session. Three sessions have delivered a 0.0715 range, and most of that was built in the first two days.

What has driven price so far

No crypto-specific release has hit the bundle this week. The move has run on dollar tone and flow. The PBOC set its USD/CNY mid-point weaker than the Reuters estimate on Wednesday, a firmer dollar signal that coincided with XRPUSD stalling under 1.3407 after the spike. The same session saw a hot Australia CPI and a hawkish RBA fail to push AUD/USD through resistance, which tells you risk assets were meeting supply at range highs rather than running. Wednesday's own candle closed at 1.3252 against a 1.3275 open, the first down day of the week.

What's still ahead

The calendar in this bundle carries no scheduled high-impact releases for XRPUSD through Thursday 29 October, Friday 30 October or the weekend. That shifts the weight onto price itself. If the dollar backdrop stays firm into Thursday and 1.3217, Wednesday's low, gives way, Monday's 1.2692 floor becomes the reference again. If buyers defend the 1.3217 area and clear 1.3407 on Thursday or Friday, the week's range breaks to the upside with no data to argue against it. Crypto majors including Bitcoin are trading the same dollar impulse, so watch whether the complex moves together or XRPUSD starts lagging.

Positioning right now

As of Wednesday 28 October, 69.4% of positions are long and 30.6% are short. That is a crowded book after a 2.5% run. Consensus midweek is that the move continues, which means the pain trade sits lower. A crowded long side offers fuel for a fast flush if 1.3217 breaks, because stops cluster where the majority is wrong.

The level that matters today

1.3407 is the line. Price tagged it Wednesday and closed below it, so it is confirmed supply until proven otherwise. Below, 1.3217 is the pivot that separates a consolidation from a reversal. If XRPUSD holds above 1.3217 and takes 1.3407 on volume, the week's high stops acting as a ceiling and the range extends. If 1.3217 fails, the 1.3000 round number and then Monday's 1.2692 low come back into the frame. You can watch both levels live on an LHFX account and size the test rather than guess the direction.
