XAGUSD opened Monday at 55.865 and closed Friday at 58.179, a net gain of roughly 231 pips, or about 4.1 percent on the week. The bulk of that move came early, with Tuesday's rally from 56.146 up through 59.214. Price peaked at 60.899 on Wednesday, then Thursday's slide back to 57.026 stripped out much of the mid-week extension before a modest Friday recovery.
The economic calendar in this bundle carries no scheduled high-impact events for silver over the coming five sessions. That shifts the centre of gravity onto price behaviour around last week's range extremes and onto how the market treats the failed push above 60. With no fixed catalyst pinned to a day, the story this week is whether Wednesday's high at 60.899 stays a ceiling or gets retested.
Absent a headline event, watch broader precious-metals flow. Silver tends to track Gold, so moves in the wider complex can pull XAGUSD even when there is no silver-specific data. Any shift in dollar strength or real-yield direction feeds straight into this pair. Open an LHFX account to trade XAGUSD this week: start with an LHFX account.
If price reclaims and holds above last week's Friday close of 58.179 early in the week, the obvious upside reference is the Tuesday high near 59.214, and above that the 60.899 peak comes back into focus. If buyers fail there again, the market may treat that zone as a confirmed ceiling. If price instead breaks below Thursday's low at 57.026, the next reference lower is the Monday range around 55.575. A softer precious-metals complex, led by Gold, would reinforce that downside path.
As of the Monday reading, positioning shows 62.8 percent long against 37.2 percent short. That is a clear skew toward the upside, which tells you consensus is still leaning bullish after last week's advance. A crowded long book can cut both ways: it supports dip buying while price holds, but it also leaves more stops exposed if a break below the recent lows triggers liquidation.
These are reference levels, not entry signals. On the upside, 59.214 is the Tuesday high and 60.899 is last week's peak. On the downside, 57.026 marks Thursday's low and 55.575 is where Monday's range began. The Friday close at 58.179 sits in the middle and acts as the near-term pivot for how the week opens.
