NAS100 midweek: index holds 29585 inside week range, 2026-09-07

NAS100 sits at 29585.11 on Wednesday's close, up 57.29 points from Monday's open, with the week's whole range set in a single Tuesday session.

Where ADAUSD stands midweek

ADAUSD trades at 0.2197 on Wednesday's close. That is 0.0032 below Monday's 0.2229 open, a fall of 1.4 percent across the first three sessions of the week. The high so far is 0.2315, set on Tuesday, and the low is 0.2141, printed on Monday. The whole week has been contained inside a 0.0174 band, and today's session has been the quietest of the three by volume.

What has driven price so far

Monday's slide to 0.2141 set the tone, and Tuesday's push to 0.2315 failed inside the same session, closing back at 0.2189. The macro backdrop did the rest. The 8 September Americas wrap described a mixed dollar with yields rising while traders waited on inflation data, which is a poor mix for high beta crypto risk. Wednesday added another wrinkle: the PBOC fixed USD/CNY weaker than the Reuters estimate, a firmer dollar setting against the yuan than the market had priced. Bitcoin tends to absorb that kind of macro headline first, and smaller caps like ADA follow with a wider swing.

What's still ahead

Our calendar carries no tier-one scheduled releases for Thursday through Saturday, so the back half of the week hangs on the inflation data flagged in Tuesday's wrap and on the daily PBOC fix. If that inflation read cools and the yield bid fades, buyers get room to attack 0.2258 first and Tuesday's 0.2315 high after it. If yields keep climbing and the dollar firms, Monday's 0.2141 low becomes the reference point again, and the week would close in the lower third of its range. Thin Wednesday volume means a single headline can move price further than the range so far suggests.

Positioning right now

As of Wednesday morning, 67.9 percent of open positioning is long and 32.1 percent is short. That is a crowd leaning into a week that is down 1.4 percent. Consensus midweek is that 0.2141 held for a reason. The risk in a skew above two thirds is mechanical: if support goes, the longs are the supply.

The level that matters today

The fight is at 0.2200. Price closed a hair under it at 0.2197, so the round number is acting as the lid on today's 0.2155 to 0.2207 range. Hold above 0.2200 into Thursday and Tuesday's 0.2258 shelf is the next thing sellers have to defend. Lose 0.2155 and the 0.2141 low is the only structure left from this week. You can watch both levels tick by tick from an LHFX live account.
