How is forex profit calculated?

For a buy trade: (Exit Price - Entry Price) × Contract Size × Lots. For EURUSD, a 50-pip gain on 1 lot = (0.0050 × 100,000 × 1) = $500.

Does the calculator include commission?

No, this shows raw P&L. LHFX charges a flat $3 per side ($6 round-trip) per standard lot on all instruments. Subtract this from your result for net profit.

What is the difference between buy and sell?

Buy (long) profits when price rises. Sell (short) profits when price falls. The calculator handles both directions.

How many pips did my trade move?

The calculator shows pips moved alongside P&L. For most forex pairs, 1 pip = 0.0001. For JPY pairs, 1 pip = 0.01.

Can I calculate P&L for gold?

Yes. Select XAUUSD and enter your entry and exit prices. Gold moves in $0.01 increments with a 100 oz contract size.
