What is margin in forex?

Margin is the collateral required to open a leveraged position. With 1:500 leverage, you need $200 margin to control a $100,000 position (1 standard lot of EURUSD at ~1.00).

What is a margin call?

LHFX issues a margin call at 100% margin level. Positions are automatically closed (stop-out) at 50% margin level to protect your account from going negative.

Does leverage affect profit?

Leverage doesn't change your profit or loss, it only reduces the margin required to open the position. A 50-pip move on EURUSD is always $500 per standard lot, regardless of leverage.

Can I change my leverage?

Yes. You can adjust leverage on your trading account from your LHFX client portal at any time.
